The practice is conscious of the accelerating pace of change and can offer practical advice on the financial and contractual aspects of a proposed project, based on a flexible approach.
There are four main strands to our traditional quantity surveying services:
1. Estimating and cost planning – we can assist Clients in the identification of a proper brief for the project allowing a realistic assessment of the likely final cost at an early stage.
2. Tender and contract documentation – our format is tailored to the project and we can offer advice on alternative methods of procurement to suit particular situations. The scope of the works is carefully defined, thus ensuring that accurate and relevant tenders are achieved.
3. Interim valuations and final account – various systems are available for cost monitoring during construction and we aim to settle final accounts promptly with proper provision of an audit trail. In the event of any claims we have a basis of knowledge and experience which will help deal with the situation. Various analyses of final cost are available.
4. Management of risk – careful application of our traditional skills results in the reduction of financial uncertainty and risk for the Client by giving solid information upon which to base his decisions.
In addition
We can assist contractors in setting up monitoring and recording systems to reflect the needs of rapid and effective response in modern construction documentation management.
We are also able to act as the Employer’s Agent.
